Dr. Basem Hamid is trained and board-certified in neurology and pain medicine. He comes from The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he served as an assistant professor and the director of the pain fellowship program at the department of pain medicine.
Dr. Hamid received his medical degree at the Damascus University of School of Medicine. His post graduate training included an internship at Mount Sainai University in New York City, residency in internal medicine/neurology at West Virginia University where he was chief resident in neurology as well as a pain medicine fellowship at The University of Iowa.
Dr. Hamid was an assistant professor of Neurology and Anesthesiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He has been a principle investigator in numerous studies related to pain care, particularly the management of neuropathic and cancer pain. He has published several articles related to pain and is the author of multiple book chapters on different pain-related topics. He has served as a reviewer for Spine, The Journal of Pain, and other publications. He is a member of the “Physicians Council for Responsible Reform” and many other distinguished national and international health organizations. Dr. Hamid had a prominent active role in educating patients and health care providers on a national and international level and delivered numerous lectures and workshops in the field.
Dr. Hamid is blessed with a wife and four lovely girls. He is very active in the community and enjoys spending time with his families both at home and at innova.
Dr. Jeffery Lee is a native Houstonian, who is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. After finishing his undergraduate education at Stanford University, he obtained his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of California at San Francisco and a pain medicine fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lee has trained with some of the world’s leading experts in both the clinical and research realms of pain management to bring high quality, compassionate care to all of his patients.
He has published articles in scientific journals and given presentations related to pain medicine at the Western Anesthesia Residents Conference and the Texas Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting.
He is currently a member of the Texas Pain Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society.
During his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and volunteering with his wife, Emily.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Georgia Tech university, Dr. Mian obtained his medical degree at Georgia Health Sciences University. He stayed in his home state to complete his internship at Emory University. He obtained his training in anesthesiology at the University of Alabama, where he was involved with research on new therapies in pain management and improving acute and postoperative pain. Dr. Mian was awarded the Aldrete Award for Excellence in Pain Medicine during his residency.
He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. His fellowship included training in interventional procedures as well as medication management. The training utilized an interdisciplinary approach to the management of chronic pain which included a focus on rehabilitation, treatment of mood disorders, cancer pain and headache management as well and lumbar and cervical spine pain.
In his free time, Dr. Mian enjoys gardening, running, and traveling with his wife and three children.
Stephanie Herron PA-CStephanie is a native New Yorker. She obtained a dual degree (Bachelor of Science/ Master of Science) from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York in 2011. She was awarded several accomplishments during college including obtaining a merit scholarship and graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is currently certified by the National Commission on Certifying Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and Texas State Board of Physician Assistants. She is currently certified in Basic Life Support.
